1. Setting Boot di Bios.
2. Pada saat muncul “Welcome to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0!” pilih “Install or upgrade an existing system” dan enter.
3. Jika muncul pilihan “ok” atau “Skip” pilih “skip” dan enter.
4. Kemudian next.
5. “What language would you…..” pilih “English (English)” dan Next.
6. “Select the appropriate keyboard…..” pilih “U.S. English” dan Next.
7. “what the type of devices…..” pilih “Basic Storage Devices” dan Next.
8. “At least one existing installation….” Pilih “Fresh Installation” dan Next.
9. Masukan nama Hostname, biarkan default name dan Next.
10. “Please select the nearest city…..” pilih “Asia/Jakarta” (lokasi kota kita berada) dan Next.
11. “The root account…” masukan root password dan ulangi pada kolom confirm kemudian Next, jika muncul peringatan “Weak Password” pilih Use Anyway.
12. “Which type of installation…” pilih “Create Custom Layout” untuk mengatur partisi penginstallan kemudian Next.
13. Pengaturan partisi :
Buat partisi untuk swap, sebesar 2x ukuran Ram.
Buat partisi root yang disimbolkan dengan tanda “ / ”(pada mount point) kemudian pilih jenis file system ext4.
Buat partisi Home yang disimbolkan dengan tanda “ /home ” (pada mount point) kemudian pilih jenis file system ext4.
14. Jika sudah arahkan kursor pada baris partisi root “ / “ kemudian Next.
15. Ketika muncul peringatan “Writing storage configuration….” Pilih “Write changes to disk” dan enter.
16. Pada saat muncul “install boot loader on /dev/sda” atau “boot loader operating system list” kemudian Next.
17. “The default installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux is….” Pada “optionally select a different set….” Pilih Desktop dan pada “please select any additional repositories….” Pilih Red Hat Enterprise Linux kemudian Next.
18. Reboot.
19. Kemudian layar pada layar welcome, Next.
20. License Information, “yes, I agree to the..”, Next.
21. “Set Up Software Update” pilih “No, I prefer to register….”, Forward.
22. “Finish Update Software” pilih forward.
23. “Create User” masukan username, full name, password dan confirm password, kemudian Forward.
24. “Date and time”, pilih Forward.
25. “Insufficient memory to configure kdump!”, pilih OK dan Finish.
